On the Twenty First day of Christmas... Mulled spiced cider

So today I'm using a Sainsbury's recipe to add a twist to a festive drink. Because I come from Somerset a thought it would be fun to use cider instead of wine to make this winter drink.

So all you need is:

1 litre of English vintage cider
1 tablespoon of light brown sugar
100ml of golden rum
4 cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
3cm piece of fresh ginger, sliced
2 clementine's unpeeled and sliced into thin rounds

Step 1

Place all the ingredients, except for one clementine to
be used as decoration, in a pan.




















Step 2

Gently bring to simmer for 10 minutes
 

Step 3

Strain the liquid  and pour into your favourite mug.

Step 4

Decorate with a slice of clementine and enjoy!
