On the Fourth day of Christmas... Dec the halls

So December is finally underway, 4 chocolates have already been eaten from advent calendars and I couldn't wait any longer to put my Christmas decorations up. I have always believed that Christmas is a time for family, memories and traditions, so when I'm decorating, it is with things that have been handed down through the family, with decorations that have been put up with loving care for most of my life. So down below is just a handful of decorations to share, all of them with those special memories of growing up...

This Santa decoration is 39 years old!

Anyone want a kiss under the mistletoe this year?

I thought this little dude is so cute, I bought him last year at a local Christmas shop.

The Christmas tree

This years Christmas tree with the lights on

I bought this cute little owl from the Christmas shop last year.

I got this cute little snow man in a Christmas cracker a couple of years ago, which I thought was a great present to get.

I love pretty bows so this is always one of the first things to go on the tree.

Every year for as long as I can remember these cute little fella's have been put on the tree

This decoration was hang made by me, in 2002 when I was in primary school. Every year at school they bought a huge Christmas tree and everybody had to design a decoration, with the best one winning a prize.

This is a new hanging decoration, to replace some broken ones so is yet to join in the memories, however so far it looks really pretty as it glistens in the light.

For as long as I can remember, this decoration, along with many other hanging decorations have been put up every year. It always goes in the same spot just in front of the window. This decoration, which probably only cost about 50p has been going up since 1997!
