On the Nineteenth day of Christmas... Christmas biscuits

For this recipe you will need the following ingredients...
115g Stork margarine, plus a little bit more for greasing the trays later
225g self raising flour
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
115g caster sugar
1 medium egg at room temperature and beaten
Edible silver balls, to decorate
Red ad green writing icing, to decorate

Step 1
Preheat oven to 180 degrees, gas mark 4. Likely grease two baking trays with some margarine.

Mix the flour, spices and sugar in a large bowl.

Add the Stork margarine and rub in using your fingers until it resembles breadcrumbs

Add the beaten egg

Mix into a stiff dough

Knead lightly and roll out on a floured surface to about 5mm thick

Cut into Christmas shapes, using cutters or a template and place onto the prepared baking tray.

Add the ball decorations

Bake for 15 minutes, then leave to cool

Using the icing pens, decorate your biscuits further, maybe like tinsel on a tree

Follow this recipe to create tasty Christmas biscuits to enjoy.
