So a few weeks ago, I saw a blog post that on Lady Writes that really caught my attention. It was about a secret santa that Lady Writes had organised. The concept was really simple - you had £20 and a deadline so I thought why not give it a go and I signed up. A few days later, I received an email containing all the information I needed for my secret santa, so I spent quite a while looking through their social media to see what type of things they liked.
Once I had got an idea of what my chosen secret santa liked,it was time to hit the shops with my limit of £20. I thought I would find it really difficult to stick to the £20 mark but I was surprised at how many good deals were on. Happy with my purchases, I took them hope and wrapped them in pretty paper, before posting them straight away.
When my secret santa arrived, I will admit I couldn't wait until Christmas to open it, so I opened it as soon as I got it. I have to say, I couldn't believe how thoughtful my gifts were! Whoever the lovely person that send me my parcel, must have spent a long time looking into what I like and how I run my blog and choose some wonderful items that I absolutely love.
First of all I would like to say the card and the message inside was so lovely and festive. One I had read the card, the first thing I noticed was the Champneys purse. I have to admit that I was actually looking at this for myself a few weeks ago but determined to stick to my budget, I didn't purchase it. It just goes to show that good things come to those who wait. Tucked inside the purse was a small box which contained the Champneys Heavenly Days Sleep Temple Balm. As someone that struggles to sleep I can't wait to try this out and see if it works better than the badger balm that I currently use.
As it that wasn't enough, I spotted something big and yellow in the bottom of the box. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world when I saw that there was more! The something yellow that I saw was in fact the Champneys Citrus Blush gift set. The set itself contains the shower gel, daily scrub, body lotion and body butter from the range. When I opened the box, the smell wafted up and smells lovely so I can't wait to try them out.
I would just like to end this post by saying thank you to Lady Writes for creating and running the secret santa in the first place - what an amazing idea to bring the blogging community together!
Secondly, I would also like to say how grateful I am to the secret santa that sent me such wonderful, thoughtful gifts.
Lastly, I would like to finish by saying Merry Christmas to all of you out there. I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year.
