On The 23rd Day Of Christmas ... Remembering At Christmas Time
I hope you are all having a lovely day. Today's post is going to be short and slightly different to usual, however, it is a part of my Christmas that I just couldn't leave out. For me, and many others, Christmas is a bitter-sweet time of year. Whilst I love all the festivities, decorations, carols and present-giving, I can't help but feel like a few people are missing. Those who have left us too soon are always at the forefront of my mind. With a lot of my family hitting their 80's, it brings home to me how much I need to cherish and enjoy Christmas each year. This year, for the first time ever, is going to be different for me - two more faces are going to be missing from around the dinner table. This is why I have found it so important to carry on family traditions, despite those that are missing, because, those traditions are what makes Christmas for me. So this Christmas, eat and be merry but think for a moment of those who are no longer here to spend Christmas with you, remember the fun times you shared, because after all, they were a part of Christmas too.
Until next time
