On The 24th Day Of Christmas ... An Apology & Explaination
As you will probably have noticed, this blog post is going up after the 25th so I thought I would explain why. Originally, the 24th day was to be a post about what I had done on Christmas Eve. The day started off well, I watched nonsense on TV in the morning before going to the shops to get some last minute Christmas food. It was then time to visit my great auntie and nan in their nursing homes. This year was the first time in my life that they wouldn't be sat around the dinner table on Christmas Day. We arrived at my auntie's first and went straight up to her room as she was in bed. It was lovely to see her as I hadn't been able to visit for a little while. She was happy and chirpy and we had a good laugh. Soon she was tired so we let her get some rest. It was then time to drive to my nan's nursing home, who was also in bed. What I was to see lying in the bed was not that of my nan, but that of someone who looked the size of someone who had spent years in a world war 2 concentration camp. I don't want to go into details but the sight that I saw really upset me and if I'm honest I just didn't feel up to writing a happy post about what I had been doing during the day when I wasn't in the right frame of mind.
I hope you understand and I am pleased to say that normal service will resume.
Until Next Time
