Currently Loving

Hello everyone!
So last year I tried to do a monthly favourites each month, however I know I failed miserably at it. The reason for this was simple - I just didn't have enough different things to talk about every single month. Therefore this year I thought I would try something different in the form of currently loving posts instead. I have seen a few people do these and I think they are great. It allows me to write a post every so often telling you what are my current favourites without the pressure of doing it 12 times a year. It also means I can talk about a wide range of things not just beauty related like the monthly favourites are usually classed as. So here goes...

The first thing I have been loving is the Carmex lip balm. Over the past few weeks I have been unwell and my lips got so dry and painful. None of my other lip balms were helping so I went straight to my local drugstore to find something different. The Carmex lip balm is so easy to apply and is transparent, which is great for me as I usually end up smothering half of my face with it. I love that it is not greasy either and it actually soothes and moisturises at the same time.

I have also been loving Mr Miles loose leaf tea. As some of you may remember, I had a tea infuser for Christmas so have been using it with my favourite brand of loose leaf tea Mr Miles. This is a local brand to me which is great as I like to support local businesses. The tea itself is so delicious in taste and isn't crispy like some teas can be. If you are ever in the south west I would highly recommend a visit to one of the Mr Miles tearooms - not only is the atmosphere lovely and friendly, but the cakes are AMAZING.

Another thing that I have been loving since I got them for Christmas is my bunny slippers. January has been a cold month for the most part and I have loved coming home each evening after work and being able to put on snuggley slippers to warm my feet up.

When I bought my iPad mini with my Christmas money in the January sales, I honestly didn't realise how much I would use it. I have to admit I have been on there constantly whether its been playing games, brainstorming blog ideas or catching up on social media. My poor phone probably feels like it has been deserted as I have hardly used it since get my iPad.

Lastly, I recently got my hair cut and my hairdresser recommended using an oil to help stop frizzy hair. I don't suffer badly with frizzy hair, but I have noticed I have quite a lot of short hair along my root line caused from everyday damage. So I picked up the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil which is usually aimed at more mature hair however, I have loved using it and can already see a difference. For me, I colour my hair every 3 months and a use a hair dryer about 2 - 3 times a week and can see the damage this has caused to my hair. I look at my hair as mature because of what I have put it through so this oil has been great for me. Its not greasy and blends so well that you can't notice I have any product in.

I hope you have enjoyed my first currently loving post, it certainly feels like it is going to be more manageable so I hope I can stick with it.

Until next time
