Welcome to another edition of Food Friday. So today I thought I would make one of my all time favourite treats - Banana Bread.
To achieve this you will need:
8 ounces of self raising flour
A pinch of salt
A squeeze of lemon
2 ounces of margarine
2 ounces of brown sugar
3 medium bananas
First of all mix the flour and salt together and rub in the margarine, before adding the egg, sugar and lemon.
Next mash the banana and add to the mixture, mixing thoroughly. Add enough milk to give it a soft consistency before putting into a greased and floured loaf tin.
The banana bread should be cooked on gas mark 4 for 45 minutes. Once baked, leave in the tin for 5 minutes before turning out when cooled.
