Product Review - Sanctuary Spa Active Reverse Facial

Hello everyone!

I feel like I haven't done a product review on here for ages which feels silly as that was how my blog started in the first place so I hope to do some more in the near future. I have just been trying out a new product for me and have literally felt the need to write this post to tell you all about it.

I have had the Sanctuary Spa Active Reverse Facial sample sat in my drawer for a little while now waiting for me to try it. So after working out this morning, I thought I would give myself a little pamper.

I have wanted to try it for a while and kept looking at it but never using it - I think because I am a bit lazy. This facial comes in two parts and I have always thought that would be just too much effort. I had never previously used a two step facial and thought it would be time-consuming so whilst I had some spare time, I decided to try it.

First impressions I was a little confused. It might be just me, but who would ever of thought to put a serum on BEFORE putting a face mask on... certainly not me. I was also a little disappointed - part two is a clay face mask, which I have come to the conclusion doesn't work well with my skin and instead leaves it feeling sore. However, as I had decided to try it out I thought I would persevere and see if it really did improve the overall appearance of my skin as the product claimed.

After cleansing my skin, putting on the Peptide transformation serum first of all made my skin feel slightly greasy, however I was surprised at how quickly it soaked into my skin. It felt like it was melting into my skin and smelt extremely similar to the Ultimelt cleansing mask that I normally use.

When it came to opening the Thermal Rose Clay Mask I was pleasantly surprised. For starters it had the colour and texture of a foundation which was not at all what I was expecting. The smell was really natural smelling as well unlike a lot of other clay masks on the market.

I'm so glad that nobody saw or heard me when I was apply the clay mask because they would have wondered what on earth I was doing and why I was making notices like I would if someone was to buy me a Louis Vuitton Handbag. I just expected this face mask to be like any other, but it really is not. The second the clay mask touched the serum I felt the warmth of the product. Its hard to describe but it was almost like a hot water bottom warming you up or putting a hot flannel on your face. It was a really lovely feeling on the skin and didn't make my skin feel irritated in the slightest.

In terms of results, once I had washed it off, my skin was left feeling super soft and nourished looking. I only had enough for a couple uses so I can't say what it would do to my skin if I used it regularly a couple times a week but if you notice it doing something good to your skin after one use then it has to be doing something right.

As you can probably tell, I am itching to go and buy some more of it as soon as possible. I highly recommend trying it as its not like anything else I have heard of. It has left my skin looking and feeling like I have had a day out at a spa without even having to leave the comfort of my own home!

Until Next Time
