I have been travelling to and from Greece for quite a few years now and absolutely love the foods they eat. The Greek Meze is one of my favourites particularly on those days where you are not quite sure what you fancy eating. What is great about having a meze is you can eat a little of everything and build your own meal.You can either choose a healthy option with a bit of salad, some olives and other alike foods. Or, as you can tell from the picture below, you could go for a more unhealthy option.
This was the Greek meze me and my family had for dinner a few weeks ago. As previously mentioned, this was by no means healthy, however, this was our treat evening and we decided to have this instead of a takeaway. So we have some Gyros with rice and veg, some mixed Greek cheese pasties, some stuffed vine leaves, some giant Greek beans and some bread sticks and tzatziki dip, which is one of my favourites.
We were able to eat as much as we wanted until we felt full and could sample everything. This is a great way to try out new food as well for those who tend to stick to the same things.
