So today I thought I would share with you my current make up wishlist. With the longer evenings, I am finding myself coming out of hibernation and going to local pubs for tea and so making a bit more effect in how I look - gone is the onesie and bed hair!
So the first item on my wishlist is this lip velvet soft matte lip colour by Bagsy and in particular the colour which is called spinning plates. This shade is what caught my eye in the first place - its a your lips but better colour and once applied is described as more of a sheer tint that stays on all day. Can I just say I absolutely love how sleek and high end the packaging looks too.
Another lip product that caught my attention was this one by Bourjois and its their rouge edition velvet lipstick. The description for this lipstick says that it does so much that I want to put it to the test. It is a matte formulation but apparently doesn't dry your lips out and it is meant to last for up to 24 hours. If this is the case it would be the perfect lip product to apply before a flight and you would still look great once you have landed. As if this wasn't enough, it also comes in loads of different colours so that you can find one to suit you.
I was really intrigued when I saw this lip maximiser by Dior. Not only does it plump the lips in a natural way, it also claims to smooth them out which I something I am noticing I need more lately. What I love even more about the sound of this product is that you can even wear it underneath your regular lipstick and still get the same effect.
For what feels like forever, people have been raving about the Estee Lauder Double Wear range and though I have looked at a few of the items in the range, I have never really felt the urge to purchase them until I saw this one. The Stay-in-place make up not only has SPF, it also lasts for up to 12 hours without the need to top it up. It claims you can get a natural look with its lightweight formulation which I would really like to try out during the summer to see how it lasts.
Another Double Wear product is this zero-smudge volume & lift mascara. I have been really struggling recently with smudged mascara and have tried so many different brands but have been unsuccessful in finding one to suit my needs. When choosing a mascara, I need to be able to able it at 8am and it still be on at 8pm. Although I have quite long lashes I still like to add a bit more volume so this mascara sounds perfect. It has a slim brush so that you can apply as much or as little as you want and the mascara formula itself is described as feather light so it should hopefully feel like just your own lashes.
I have admitted in previous blog posts that sometimes I can be quite lazy and my skincare can suffer so you can imagine my reaction when I saw this! For me, the Estee Lauder perfectly clean 3 in 1 cleaner/toner/remover does it all. Not only does the foamy formula melt through make up, it claims to leave skin looking luminous which is an added bonus for those lazy days.
I have found the perfect eye shadow palette to keep in my handbag, complete with 9 different neutral shades to choose from. Not only that but the cute bow packaging is making me want the NXY Love In Paris shadow palette even more.
I will admit I am a bit behind with the whole contouring/ highlighting trend, only recently buying my first palette. Having said that, how pretty are the colours on this Pur Cosmetics strobe palette. The creamy formula it boasts about should surely be easier to blend and help me get the hang of it quicker...
I know that I would have to become a millionaire before I could justify buying this brush set by Sigma. However, I have seen how many people rate them so if I could splurge on some new brushes, I would definitely choose the Sigma Sigmax Kabuki kit. The brushes them self are all super soft which would make it easier to apply my make up. The set has all your basic needs covered with these brush styles - flat, round, angled and tapered.
With the weather still not making its mind up I certainly need to purchase this stay all day waterproof liquid eyeliner by Stila. The reviews I have seen so far say that it is easy to apply and doesn't smudge so I feel it has my name written all over it.
Months down the line and I am still trying to sort my brows out. I can't stay that they are too thick or thin as they are just about right. However, the colour of them vary from light blonde to dark blonde in the most inconvenient places so I would love to try this brow gel by Topshop.
I usually stick to either Soap & Glory or Collection for my concealer however this one really caught my eye. Even just the name of it says it all - Urban Decay naked skin weightless complete coverage concealer. If that wasn't enough, it also contains Japanese Green Tea which brightens and revitalises your skin.
You might be able to tell I chose this item firstly on its amazing packaging. Even now I can't stop staring at it and am trying to not order one now. The Yves Saint Laurent rouge volupte shine lipstick is one that I feel I must try. It claims you can throw away your lip balms as not only does it moisturise your lips but it also protects them too. It also comes in a huge range of colours and its formulation leaves an intense shine with bright colour pigmentation.
Last but not least, I wanted to share with you this really cute make up bag by Nails Inc which made me chuckle. The slogan reads : I'm outdoorsy. I drink my Prosecco on the patio
Have you tried any of the items in my wishlist? If you have, let me know what you think of them, should I spend or save?
Until next time
