Feel Unique Haul & First Impressions

Hello everyone,

Guess who's been shopping again! I know I said I didn't want to spend any money for a while but the Feel Unique sale pulled me in and got me spending, although everything I got were bargin's so I don't feel so bad. I have tried out a few of the products, so I will let you know my first impressions.

So it will probably be no suprise to some of you that when I saw the Fleur De Force eye shadow palettes were in the sale, I snapped one up straight away (020 Lunar Rose). I have swatched the colours down below so that you can see them but as you can tell, they are pretty neutral colours so the lighter shades are harder to see on camera. Of course this is one of the products that I have been using, there is no way I could wait any longer and I have to say I love them. They have an almost creamy finish to them so that it feels like you aren't wearing anything and I can't believe how long lasting they are - They managed to stay on all day whilst I did an 8-5 shift and I still had a lot of colour left on my lids at the end of the day.

The next product I bought was the L'Oreal Pure Sleek heat protectant spray which I always use and just bought it to stock up whilst it was on offer. The great thing about pure sleek is it leaves your hair smooth and is not frizzed out by drying, straightening or curling, leaving you with natural looking hair.

I have wanted to try a texturising spray for a while now after watching several YouTubers using them and getting great results - so many people rave about them. So when I saw this one for £5 I decided to pick it up and try it. I am yet to try it but as soon as I do I will let you know what I think of it, but I'm sure it will be a good product as I've never had a bad product from Toni & Guy.

I have finally got my hands on some NXY products and joined the fan club! I say this but in actual fact I realised I had a blusher that I had never even tried when de-cluttering my make up stash. Nevertheless, as soon as the parcel arrived I was applying this Stay Matte But Not Flat foundation, which suprised me, because it is very rare that I actually wear foundation. I really like the consistancy and coverage of the foundation because it is not too heavy. It says it is oil-free however I found that a couple hours after applying it, it would look extremely shiny and I felt like I needed to add a lot of powder to combat it. I'm not sure if it is because it is a water-based foundation or if it is because of something else. I will use it up but I'm not sure that I would repurchase it.

I picked up the next to products because I wanted to try out some new brow products after being inspired by the new benefit range but I needed a cheaper version so I picked up two of the Rimmel Brow This Way products. The first is the Brow Sculpting kit that comes with a wax and a powder and the second is the Brow Gel in clear. Again I am yet to put these to the test but as soon as I can, I will let you know my thoughts.

For the first time ever, I bought a product because of the colour advertised. Of course I do this with clothes and accessories etc, but I have never done it with make up before. This Rimmel by Kate eye crayon is amazing - its rose gold! I have been wearing this non-stop, using it not only on my lid but underneath my eye as well to create a smokey look. The formula is so creamy, that I thought it would wear off quite quickly and smudge but once its on, it stays in place all day, to the point that if I have put a couple of layers on, it takes a lot for me to actually get it back off.

Last but not least, whilst I was buying the NYX foundation, I picked up a couple of eye shadows. The first is a coppery glittery colour (HS82 Top Notch Excellence) that I think will be perfect for autum/ winter and more of a neutral colour (HS36 Lace Dentelle) that I can use as a base to build on. I have used the neutral shade and I have to say, I don't see anything special. It reminds me of the MUA shades but has even less staying power than MUA, which is a shame because I need products that are going to stay on during my working day when I probably won't get a chance to top up. I will let you know what I think of the other shade once I have used it a few times so watch this space.

I hope you have enjoyed this haul / first impressions video, I would love to know what you bought in the Feel Unique sale so leave a comment below or tweet me. Also what would you recommend me trying from NYX because I don't want to give up on the brand yet but I'm struggling to find products that I really like.

Until next time
