I have been a big fan of Clinique products for about six years now because they do some many different products so that you can choose the right ones for your skin type. I have loved using this Anti-blemish solutions all over clearing treatment as my daily moisturiser because it stops me from getting breakouts as well as giving my skin a healthy glow. I have already repurchased a replacement because I love it so much.
I am very particular when it comes to mascara's. I want them to have some volume but not too much, it has to have staying power as I don't want panda eyes and it has to dry quickly because I am always late. Not much to ask for is it? I found a product that achieved all of this in the form of Lancome's Hypnose Star. When I bought this mascara, it was the first thing I ever bought from Lancome and I will admit I fell in love with it because of its beautiful packaging. It has become a product that I now love and again, I have already bought a replacement, ready to use now this one is empty. I find the shape of the wand so easy to apply - It has a thin end and a thicker end but it is also slightly flattened, making it easy to get the product on your lashes in the corner of your eyes, without getting it all over your cheek.
Something that was a Christmas present was this Atlas Mountain Rose fragrance mist from The Body Shop. I love rose scented things as long as it is not overpowering, which I will admit this can be. I would say it doesn't last that long and I felt the need to reapply it throughout the day, which is a bit of a pain because the glass bottle packaging makes it bulky and heavy to have to carry around with you. I don't know if it was just mine, but I found the nozzle didn't always want to spray which was annoying. Safe to say I won't buy it again and would probably give it away if I received it as a gift.
Another fragrance I have used up is this travel size of Avon's Cherish. I can't say that I love it because I think for me it is too sweet. I remember trying the sample page you get in the catalogue but I'm certain the perfume itself is way sweeter, so that is definitely a lesson learned - always buy your perfume in a shop where you can properly try it.
I quickly wanted to touch on deodorant which I know you don't normally hear about, but I have found a product that I love so much that I just want to shout it from the rooftops. The Mitchum 48 hour protection roll on in the fragrance shower fresh has become my all time favourite. Not only does it have sweat & odour control, it dries in seconds and doesn't leave any marks on my clothes which I always found a problem with Dove ones. They do several different fragrances including one that smells like baby powder but the shower fresh one is definitely my favourite.
I love Ted Baker products because they always feel and smell more expensive that what they are and this body souffle is no exception. I love these miniatures that you get around Christmastime because they are perfect for holidays and weekends away. This souffle always leaves my skin feeling super soft and I can usually still smell it the next day which is great.
Another body lotion I have absolutely loved is this one my Botanica which I think is available in Wilkinson's. The scent is mirabelle plum and ruby grapefruit, which I wasn't sure if I would like but I really did. It is very much a wintery scent but I love it, so much so that I am sat sniffing the bottle as I write this. In terms of what it does for the skin, I have to say, I love how softening it is but it is not greasy at all which surprised me, because its a budget brand. I really hope they bring this back again this Christmas because I wouldn't mind picking up another one for myself.
I was never a big fan of body butters until I tried this olive & aloe vera one by Mythos. I won't go into it too much because I always rave about this product but I will say, for a butter, I love how quickly it soaks into my skin.
I will admit, I picked this shower cream up on a wim. Basically, I had ran out and was doing a food shop and remembered I needed some. Radox had some on offer and I remember smelling several different ones and selecting this one because it wasn't as over powering as the rest. It contains chamomile & jojoba oil so I thought not only will the oil be lovely on my skin, hopefully the chamomile will help me to relax, which it did. I will definitely be repurchasing this again in the future, I think Radox doesn't get the credit it deserves because it is seen as a basic budget item.
I have been a huge fan of the Queen of Ta-da shaving gel for as long as I can remember. It comes in the scent pina colada twist which smells amazing. I have had this tube it the cupboard for ages as you only need to use a little bit at a time. Not only is it for shaving, it also leaves a silky finish afterwards and is really moisturising.
I have been a big fan of Aussie hair care for a really long time, ever since I first tried their 3 minute miracle treatment. This Luscious Long Shampoo is just another great product they do that leaves my hair clean, shiny and tangle-free.
Last but not least is Garnier's Micellar cleansing water, with this being about my 5th bottle since they first came out. I have tried a few micellar waters but I always go back to this one because it leaves my skin feeling great. I love using this both in the morning when I wake up and in the evening when I take my make up off because it doesn't make my skin sore like others do. I am currently trying out their new oil infused one so I will let you know soon which I prefer.
I think I have done pretty well in using up products to be honest. I have certainly had to be quite strict with myself. I haven't let myself buy anything new until I have used up two similar products, which I think has helped massively.
Until next time
