Sanctuary Spa Advent Calendar Christmas 2016
Hello everyone, welcome back. So for the past few weeks I have been watching videos, reading blog posts and searching the internet trying to pick an beauty advent calendar. 2016 is the first year that I'm allowing myself to get one - I normally just have chocolate. I therefore wanted to choose one that I knew I would be happy with as well as one that is good value and budget friendly. Don't get me wrong there are some really amazing beauty advent calendars this year and the ones I was looking at were as follows:
Instead, I decided to save some money and buy the Sanctuary Spa one. Not only was there no catch, I didn't have to spend a certain amount or buy certain products, but I also knew that I would love all of the products I receive from it. The calendar contains a few of my favourite products, however there are quite a few that I have never tried before so I am really looking forward to opening it up.
This year's theme is #LetGo and promises to let you relax and unwind it what is always a busy and stressful time of year. This fits perfectly in with my life at the moment because I am trying to be a bit more organised by writing and scheduling posts in advance so that I can really enjoy the festive period and spend time with family and friends.
- Marks & Spencers
- Yankee Candle
- Charlotte Tilbury
- Look Fantastic
- Sanctuary Spa
As you can see, there were quite a few that I was trying to choose from. As love Nuxe products but for me it was just over my budget as was the NYX one and of course the Charlotte Tilbury one. The Look Fantastic one seemed to sell out almost straight away and I knew that I really didn't need anymore candles (I have just bought 6, yes 6! of the Bath and Body works dupes from B & M) so that put the Yankee Candle one out of the question too. So that left me with just two - The M & S one and Sanctuary Spa. I found it feel difficult to choose between the two but then decided that I would just be buying things for the sake of it if I went for the M & S one because you have to spend £35 to become eligible to buy the calendar which then costs another £35. I certainly didn't need anything more, although I did think about getting a couple of the Rosie for Autograph make up pieces.
As with all beauty calendars, it is quite bulky, but you can't expect anything less. However, the packaging is beautiful with the gold edging and spots on a simple white background. The gold really catches the light, so I can't wait to place it near the Christmas tree so it can glisten more! The bow-like feature on the front makes it look like a Christmas present which is great because you could then place it anywhere.
The Sanctuary Spa beauty advent calendar comes in at a cost of £25 which is really affordable, especially when you get your points in Boots from this as well. With the points I've received, I'm hoping to get some bargins in the January sales, so I definitely feel like I have made the right choice!
Have you chosen your Beauty Advent Calendar yet? If so I'd love to know what you have chosen, so don't forget to leave me a comment!
Until next time
