I Know I am Lucky ...

Hello everyone, so with St Patrick's Day coming up I thought I would take the time to remember how lucky I am and share with you some of the things I am grateful for...

My Family who are always there to help and support me

Mine & my families health. As with most families, there has been illness and sad times along the way but I'm so grateful that we are all in relatively good health right now, although I also know how quickly this can change

My senses - I have the use of all of my senses, I can hear birds singing in the morning and I can see the area around me. There was a time when I temporarily lost my hearing and I have never been more thankful that it slowly returned

Pets - they are the one person who will always be the first to happily great you because you are a huge part in their life

Blogging - Its such a great community to be a part of and I have made some great friends along the way

Friends - Although I'm bias, I think I have the best group of friends around me who are always there for a laugh and a shoulder to cry on at times too

Holidays - I have had the opportunies to visit some truly amazing places over the years and met some lovely people along the way

Little Mistakes - I know this may seem odd but I'm grateful for the mistakes I have made because they have made me into the person I am today

Life's Challenges
- Acomplishing these have made me grow as a person and see the world in a different light

Money - I have realised where it is important to spend and where its better to save but I'm grateful that I get paid on a regular basis to afford life's little treats

The opportunity to learn and explore things for myself - I'm grateful for this because I know that around the world, some people, especially girls, haven't had those kind of opportunities. Whilst I didn't go to college or university, I have continued to learn both from NVQ's and just simply from the environment around me and I have come to the realisation that I don't ever want to stop learning about new things

To feel safe & secure - I know this sounds easy but for many across the world right now they are lacking both of these. There are so many horrible things going on in the world and whilst I am living a relatively safe and secure life at the moment, I know it can all change in a moment. I'm grateful for the people behind the scenes that allow me to live safely day to day - the police, armed forces, border control and all those who never get a mention but work tirelessly behind the scenes.

It is important to take the time to realise how lucky you are and to be grateful for all that you have.

Until next time
