Product Review - Eylure Fleur De Force Brow Products

Hello everyone, I'm back today with a little review. I know these products have been out for quite a while now, however I really wanted to use them as much as I could before I posted my opinion. I have been testing them out over the past few months and here is what I thought.

First of all, I wanted to say that I have been watching Fleur on YouTube and reading her blog for the last seven years and have watched her grow and learned a lot from her experiences too. So each time she has brought something out, whether it's a book or a beauty product, I have made sure I've bought some of the range. I have never been a huge fan of false eye lashes, mainly because I never really go anywhere to warrant wearing them! Having said this, however, when Fleur brought out a range with Eylure, I went to Boots straight away to buy some, trying them on as soon as I got home. I'm glad I did this because it opened my eyes to how great Eylure products are & how spending that little bit more money, can give you a long lasting and worth it product.

Brow Tamer

This was the product I was most excited about because, when it comes to my brows, I can be really lazy in the morning. Because I have blonde hair, I chose the lightest shade possible and found that it was the perfect shade for me. Usually, I find that the blonde colour can still be a bit too dark but this wasn't the case. The brush on the colour end is smaller than usual which is great because it means I can get right into the corner, without looking like a painted doll! Setting the colour with the clear gel end couldn't be easier, especially with the larger brush. The only thing I must remember is to let the colour dry slightly first, otherwise, I end up smearing it into places I don't want it to be. My overall opinion of the tamer is that it's a great product to use for people who don't have a lot of time or energy in the morning. In terms of lasting power, I can honestly say, it is great and I would know, I've really been putting it through its paces - from the gym, to an eight hour shift at work, to drinks with friends after work, I have still had to remove it with my make up remover at the end of the day. It means I've only got to apply it once in the morning and I know it will last all day, therefore I don't even have to take it with me.

Brow Palette

I will admit that I wasn't sure whether or not I wanted to buy the palette because I don't have the time or patience normally to apply powdered brow products, however, on this occasion, I thought I would give it a go. The packaging is a great size and easy to open (I struggle with opening palettes a lot usually) however, I was a bit disappointed that the palette didn't come with a brush. I didn't have anything suitable that I could use, so I had to go out and buy one before I could use it. Aside from this, my first impression of the actual product was that the pigmentation of the two shades was great. I personally didn't think I would use the darker one, until I swatched it and realised that it wasn't super dark. I watched Fleur's tutorial she did on her channel and realised how you could pair the two shades together to create a more natural look. Onto the thing that swayed me into buying the palette - the highlighter. It is one of the most natural looking highlighters I have found and I don't limit myself to just using it on my brows! If you are looking for a highlighter that will give you a healthy glow without the shimmer then this is for you. In terms of lasting power, it does last a relatively long time for a powder. I did have to reapply every four or so hours, which for me is doable. The only downside, like I mentioned above, is the fact that there isn't a brush with the palette because I have to carry that separately, then hunt around in my bag when I want to use it.

Overall

For me, I prefer the tamer which doesn't suprise me, however, for an evening out I would definitely use the powder and I would love for the highlighter to be brought out in its own packaging because mine is running out already! Although both of the products are slightly higher in price than other brow products on the market - both currently retail for £12 each, they are both really long lasting and you certainly get a lot of product for your money.

Until next time
