Birchbox October 2017

Hello everyone, can you believe we are nearly half way through October already! I'm back today showing you what I received in this months' Birchbox. I have been loving receiving this subscription box every month and am not planning to give it up anytime soon.

The Box

First of all, how pretty is this box. It reminds me of when you first put a bath bomb in the water and you get this instant pop of colour. Out of the last few box designs I have received, I would definitely say this is my favourite.

The box this month is in collaboration with CoppaFeel, which is an amazing charity that helps spread the message of how important it is for women to check their boobs on a regular basis. Whilst for many years we have been told this, CoppaFeel also aims to educate you on how you should check and what you should be looking for. To get this message across to all of the Birchbox subscribers, included in each box is a Shower Hijack sticker, which gives instructions on how to check and what to look for. It also comes with a handy little card that you can keep in your purse that contains the same information on the back, whilst on the front, it promotes a free monthly SMS reminder text number so that you never forget to check. This is a great idea because we all lead such busy lives and it is easy to forget something so simply. It is also a service that I wasn't aware was available but one that I'm sure many of us would benefit from. If you would like to sign up for this free monthly SMS reminder text. just text BOOBS to 70300. Standard network rates apply for the first text you send to sign up, but everything after that is free.

The Products

ModelCo Contour Stick

I was really excited to try this because I have wanted to try a version of the contour stick for ages. I love using powder contours but I wondered if using a stick would make it quicker for me. The formula of the product is really creamy and soft however, for me it didn't last very long. I need products that are going to stay on all day because I rarely get a chance to reapply. However in this instance, I found that it wore off after just a few hours. I think it will be great to use for an evening out but I'm not sure I would use it on a daily basis.

Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash

I used to be obsessed with the Balance Me eye cream so I am looking forward to trying out this face wash once my current one has run out, to see if I love it just as much. I am trying to find more natural products to use on my skin and so if I like this one, it could become part of my routine.

Anatomicals Grab Your Melons Shower Gel

I have been a huge fan of Anatomicals for a long time and so when I saw that this was a Birchbox exclusive and something I hadn't been able to try before, I wanted to use it straight away. First of all, this smells amazing and really wakes me up in the morning. It also lathers really nicely and makes my skin feel super soft too!

R & Co Badlands Dry Shampoo Paste

I rely on dry shampoo to get me through most weeks, so I am always looking for new ones to try. I have never tried a paste version before but I am super excited to give it a go. I want to try and find something that would make my scalp feel dry or irritated so I'm hoping this product might be just what I'm looking for.

Whish Three Whishes Body Butter Almond

I love how luxurious the scent is for this body butter. I have used it a couple of times and oh my gosh, it makes my skin feel so soft, even the next day. I definitely think I am going to be purchasing the full sized version of this very soon.

I have to say that I have loved everything I received in this months Birchbox. All of the products are things that I would use and can feel myself able to slot them into my current routine to try them out. This is why I love Birchbox in particular as a subscription box, because I know with other boxes I've tried, some of the products have been a little bit too out there for me and then I've felt like I've wasted my money. If you are looking for a subscription box and don't know which one to choose, then I highly recommend giving Birchbox a go!

Until next time
