Blogmas Day 4 - Christmas Advent Calendars

Hello everyone and welcome back to another day of Blogmas! This month already feels like it going to fly by so I'm going to try and keep this post short but sweet.

Lets face it - everybody seems to be bringing out advent calendars this year. There are so many different ones on the market, how can you possibly pick one? If you've followed me for a while, you may remember that last year I chose the Sanctuary Spa advent calendar, partly because of the price and partly because I have always loved their products and knew I would use them all. I found that advent calendar really useful in finding new products that I liked - my most favourable one had to be the body scrub, which I still use each week and am probably on about my 5th jar!

I decided quite early on that I wanted to buy myself another one this year and after spending hours looking online at all of the options, I decided on the ASOS one. It was a bit more pricey than the one I bought last year, but I've noticed that they all seem to be going up in price now everybody wants one. I have tried to stay away from any spoiler posts/videos so that it will be more of a surprise when I open each door but I have to say I've found it difficult not to open up each one already! The box itself is pretty and would make the perfect backdrop to festive photos.
Because I am a complete child at heart, I will also have a lovely chocolate one to open each morning too.

I also did a spot of online shopping recently and had the option to purchase the Marks & Spencer calendar. I'm not sure Trixie would be happy about this though because I bought her a new Christmas jumper to make up my basket to the £35 required. If you don't know already, you have to spend £35 to be eligible to buy the calendar for £35, which although may sound a lot, its probably just a couple of presents or an outfit for a Christmas party. I decided that I would buy the calendar and then give it to my mum. I also knew that some of the items inside the calendar my mum wouldn't necessary want or use and that she would then give some of the products back to me. So I will therefore get to sample a bit of the M & S one as well!

My dad is very Bah Humbug when it comes to Christmas and told me that he definitely didn't want one, even a chocolate one! So he therefore missed out on any beer ones, however, I did buy my boyfriend Dan one. He chose the Lego Star Wars advent calendar which I can't really comment on because a) Please don't hate me but I have never watched anything remotely Star Wars related and b) I'm going to be pretty annoyed at having to pick up pieces of Lego for the next month. Price wise, I didn't think it was too bad at £25, especially as you get something to show for it at the end.

What advent calendar have you chosen this year? Or are you doing another form of advent calendar such as the kindness one?

Remember to pop back tomorrow for another Blogmas post!
